This camp is perfect for campers with at least 1 year of competitive high school rowing experience, looking to take their technique and training to the next level. Campers will spend the entire camp in small coxless boats, while becoming more proficient in rowing and steering sweep/sculling small boats. Camp will include: a yoga class led by Karen Rigsby (Olympic medalist rower), an introduction to the importance of core and foundational training led by Head Lightweight Coach Dusty Mattison, attending a college recruiting forum, advanced presentations from our staff nutritionist and sports psychologists, and a structured weight room session led by Wisconsin Strength & Conditioning Coach Billy Breider. Campers will also take part in 2 erg sessions; one helping to project camper's 2K/6K/training zones and another that focuses on camper's warm-up/AT workout. Campers will close the week with a small boat race (length TBD) which parents can watch! This camp is open to any and all entrants in grades 9-12. 1 YEAR OF COMPETITIVE HIGH SCHOOL ROWING EXPERIENCE IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED! All participants will receive a t-shirt and a water bottle.
