The purpose of our various track and field camps is to provide quality individual instruction in the techniques and training that are necessary for young athletes to reach their full potential. We are aware that the athletes represent a wide variety of talent, motivations, education, and experience and we are prepared to tailor our program to each athlete’s needs. The instructor/athlete ratio is kept low to ensure personal attention.

The 2014 University of Wisconsin Winter Pole Vault Academy is offering 30 pole vaulters an opportunity to receive elite pole vault instruction to further enhance their technique, speed and knowledge in the pole vault. Each participant will come away from their Academy experience with what it takes to be an elite pole vaulter. Individuals will be able to select online the sessions they can attend.

  • Sunday nights, November 2, 16, 23, December 7, 21
  • Group 1: 4:00-5:30 pm
    Group 2: 5:30-7:00 pm (closed for Nov 2 & 9)
  • Camp Randall Sports Center (aka "The Shell")
  • Boys and Girls in grades 4-12
  • $25 per session (register per session)
  • REGISTRATION CLOSES 24 HRS PRIOR TO EACH SESSION
  • Maximum of 15 vaulters per session.

The University of Wisconsin Pole Vault Development Days are offering 30 pole vaulters and their coaches the opportunity to receive elite pole vault instruction to further enhance their technique, performance and knowledge in the pole vault. Under the guidance of Wisconsin Coaches Nate Davis and Kyle Ellis, each participant will come away from their experience with ideas and guidance about what it takes to be an elite pole vaulter.

  • $155 per day ($185 on-site)

  • Two full vaulting pits
  • Special demonstrations by elite vaulter Peter Geraghty (18’2.75”)
  • Video analysis of each vaulter in every drill performed
  • Full analysis sheet provided for each participant
  • Emailed critique after the session
  • Open to any and all entrants in grades 4-12

The clinic’s purpose is to provide quality individual instruction in the techniques and training that are necessary for young athletes to reach their full potential. We are aware that the athletes represent a wide variety of talent, motivations, education, and experience and we are prepared to tailor our program to each athlete’s needs.  The instructor/athlete ratio is kept low (approximately 1:10) to ensure personal attention. All throwers will be allowed to throw onto a turf sector from 10 or more throwing rings. This clinic is open to any and all entrants in 8-12 grades. All high school coaches are welcome to attend.

  • Cost: $95 in advance; $125 on-site registration

  • Check-Out: 3:00-3:15 pm
