Campers will be instructed on the basic skills required to succeed at a top rowing college. Our campers represent a variety of athletic backgrounds. Many have never rowed before, while some have extensive high school experience. We will tailor the camp experience to fit the needs of the individuals. The camp will be staffed by University of Wisconsin coaches and oarsmen. The staff/camper ratio will be kept low to ensure safety and individual attention. Health services staff will be on call to offer assistance. All sessions of Badger Sports Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.

Please see below for our 2025 tentative camp dates!

The Rowing Elite Summer Camp is designed for novices advancing in the sport. Our program prides itself on taking novice athletes and transforming them into elite oarsmen. Designed for the total beginner (from no rowing experience up to only a few weeks), this camp will help these novice rowers learn the sport, improve their skills, and gain experience in the sport of rowing. Campers will receive one on one instruction from current Wisconsin coaches and rowers to learn the fundamentals of the stroke in our state of the art moving water rowing tank and stationary rowing machines before heading out onto Lake Mendota to row in barges and 8s.
